Dance Instructor

Demetrius Tabron (Washington, DC) was classically trained at Dance Theatre of Harlem and studied at Ellington School of the Arts under Sandra Fortune-Green and Katherine Smith. Mr. Tabron earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University North Carolina School of the Arts. He danced with Eisenhower Dance Ensemble, SD/Prism Dance Theatre, and Deeply Rooted Dance Theater. His musical theater performances include Michigan Lyric Opera’s “Amahl and the Night Visitors,” Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre’s “God Lives In Glass.” Mr. Tabron created dance works for The Merce Cunningham Studio, DCDC2, and SD/Prism Dance Theatre among other. Mr. Tabron joined DCDC in 2012. He notes that the late William B. McClellan inspired his artistry: “He showed that regardless of who you are, never lost the gift of your passion.”
